MATERIAL: SWEDISH GREEN MARBLE, OAK, ALUMINIUM
1890X500X450
EXHIBITED AT STOCKHOLM FURNITURE FAIR 2024 TOGETHER WITH KONSTFACK AS A PART OF MY INTERIOR PROJECT “PRESERVING THE PROCESS”

Interior Project Description:
The project draws inspiration from local artists, incorporating their craftsmanship as a guiding tool in the design process. The proposal aims to create an interior that preserves the essence of the existing – the textures, marks, and history embedded in the space.

The resulting design consists of structural frameworks, a skeletal system that safeguards and highlights the narrative of the space’s past. Each element is carefully constructed to maintain a balance between honoring the historical layers and introducing a sense of continuity. The design creates an atmosphere where the history of a process is both protected and reimagined, allowing the past and present to coexist seamlessly.

THE SWEDISH GREEN SERIES (2024)

To preserve what once was, New life and function are given to marble blocks that have lost their original purpose. The result is a furniture series where oak and aluminum strips work together to embrace and protect the swedish marble, while the three materials together connect to the era of functionalism.

This combination challenges the classic principles of the era with new expressions, in an attempt to both develop and preserve the historical heritage.
